Welcome Parents!

You will be receiving 2 maps. Look carefully at each map.
You will be receiving 2 maps. Look carefully at each map.
- Determine what each map is depicting.
- Take a careful look at the legend.
Once you are familiar with each map. Discuss with your group members anything that the two maps have in common.
While in your groups discuss the following guiding questions:
- Do you think the location of the earthquakes and volcanoes are significant? Why? Support your reasoning with evidence from the maps.
- How might seismic and volcanic activity be indicators of the driving processes that shape our Earth?
Geologic activity is often related to activity within our Earth. Knowing this, use one of the dry erase markers provided to guess where plate boundaries are based on your seismic and volcanic observations. Don't be afraid to make a mistake!
